What we collect

Account: your phone number (used to sign you in) and, if you add them, your name, email, and date of birth.

Travel profile: passports you add — only the issuing country and expiry date (we deliberately do not store passport numbers) — plus your expiry-alert preference.

Activity: destinations you open, search terms, and favorites — used to show "recent" and "popular" content.

Text messages (SMS)

We use your phone number only to send a one-time verification code when you sign in. By entering your number and tapping "Send code", you consent to receive this authentication SMS from Wanderer.

Message and data rates may apply, and frequency is limited to your sign-in attempts. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we never share your number with third parties for their own marketing.

Standard carrier keywords are supported: reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Opting out of the verification SMS means you will not be able to sign in.

How we use it

To authenticate you with a one-time SMS code (no passwords are stored).

To personalize entry/visa requirements to your passport and to remind you before a passport expires.

To compute anonymous, aggregate "popular this week" trends across all travelers.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in Supabase (Postgres) and protected by row-level security, so only you can read or change your own profile, passports, searches, and favorites.

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Your controls

You can edit or remove any passport and your profile at any time from the Account screen.

You can delete your account and all associated data from Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
